Italian Varietals—Our land & the home land

Noceto Pinot Grigio

100% Pinot Grigio from Clarksburg Ranch.  Cold fermented and aged in stainless steel to preserve fresh fruit qualities.  Aromatic and crisp with balanced acidity.

Terra d’Aligi Pecorino

Pecorino is one of the most characteristic grape varieties of Abruzzo, Italy. Since ancient times, sheep pastures have flanked the vineyards.  Thus the wine and cheese share a name along with their history and geography.  The wine is cold macerated and fermented in 50% steel and 50% new barrel oak.  The result is a finely structured wine with scents of peach, honey and vanilla.

Noceto Original Grandpere Zinfandel

The Grandpere vineyard in Shenandoah is reputedly the oldest documented Zinfandel vineyard in California.  The fruit is cold soaked for up to two days and fermented in stainless steel.  Aged in French oak for 21 months, this wine is fruit forward and retains the classic black pepper character of an Amador County Zin.

Masi Campofiorin Rosso de Veronese

A composition of classic Italian Veronese grape varietals—Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara—Campofiorin is the first “supervenetian” wine created through its  development of the appassimento method.  This wine making process is a double fermentation technique where grapes are refermented with the lightly dried  grapes of the same varieties.  This technique extracts greater richness of color and aroma, softens and refines tannins and increases alcohol content.  This wine is ruby red with wonderful cherries and spice character.
